Ø  During 2010, Fairford received 340 visits from Parking Enforcement Officers and a total of 78 parking tickets were issued.  There was 1 ticket issued in Bridge Street, 2 in the High Street, 3 in Horcott Road, 1 in London Road, 2 in the Market Place, 21 in Milton Street, 1 in The Orchard and 8 in Whelford Road (during the Air Tattoo).  But by far the most number of tickets issued were to vehicles parked illegally in London Street, where 39 tickets were issued.  Following more recent complaints by residents about the illegal parking on double yellow lines in London Street, Cotswold District Council enforcement officers will be targeting this area again very soon.  It has been “blitzed” in the past, but drivers still continue to “take a chance”.  If you don’t want to receive a parking ticket, then please do not park illegally.
