MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING
HELD ON TUESDAY 2ND MARCH 2010

PL113 Declarations of Interest in items on the agenda
       Declarations of interest were received from:-

PL114 To confirm the minutes of the meeting held on 16th February 2010
       It was RESOLVED to sign the minutes of the meeting held on 16th February 2010    (pp148-149 09/10)as a true and accurate record of the proceedings.

10/00632/FUL Change of Use to form four mews units at Vortex Inn, Cirencester Road, Fairford (FULL PLANNING PERMISSION)

SUPPORT THE APPLICATION in principle but stipulate that there is concern about fire egress.

Cllr Cusack asked that residents be made aware of when parking enforcement will come into effect as soon as possible.  He then left the room.

10/00499/LBC Fixing of parking regulation notice to front of building and removal of redundant notice at Fairford Opticians, 11 High Street, Fairford (LISTED BUILDING APPLICATION)

NO OBJECTION – query on size of signs – POST MEETING NOTE: Consulted with Highways who advise that this is standard size. ACTION: Clerk to contact residents to advise when the parking enforcement will come into force.

NO OBJECTION - POST MEETING NOTE: Consulted with Highways who advise that this is standard size. ACTION: Clerk to contact residents to advise when the parking enforcement will come into force.

10/00309/REM Alterations to former tile works for the relocation of previously approved hotel core facilities (08/02037/REM), including construction of clubhouse, external pool, decking and associated parking and landscaping at Coln Park, London Road, Lechlade (RESERVED MATTERS APPLICATION)

CDC have allowed a time extension in which to reply, to allow the Committee time to look over the substantial amount of paperwork relating to this application.  It was agreed that this item should be deferred to the next Planning Meeting on the 16th March for a decision.  A letter is to be written to Mike Napper – CDC.  ACTION: Cllr Wardle to prepare draft letter. 

10/00369/REM Approval of Reserved Matters for amendment to previous approvals to substitute 7 holiday homes (previously part of Phase 3) at Longdoles Lake with 21 hotel apartments (previously part of Phase 5) and the substitution of 25 hotel apartments with 7 holiday homes within the central woodland plantation area, and associated changes to the design of the individual buildings at Coln Park, London Road, Lechlade (RESERVED MATTERS APPLICATION)

CDC have allowed a time extension in which to reply, to allow the Committee time to look over the substantial amount of paperwork relating to this application.  It was agreed that this item should be deferred to the next Planning Meeting on the 16th March for a decision. 

10/00493/FUL Full application for retrospective planning application for the retention of two tennis courts and a car park for ten cars at Coln Park, London Road, Lechlade NEW DETAILS RECEIVED: SUPPORTING STATEMENT

CDC have allowed a time extension in which to reply, to allow the Committee time to look over the substantial amount of paperwork relating to this application.  It was agreed that this item should be deferred to the next Planning Meeting on the 16th March for a decision. A letter is to be written to Mike Napper – CDC.  ACTION: Cllr Wardle to prepare draft letter.

ACTION:  Clerk to contact Corylus to arrange a meeting. 

PL117 To discuss response from CDC ref Pip’s Field
   It was agreed to STRONGLY OBJECT to the application.  A letter to be written to Kevin      Field – CDC, detailing reasons for objection.  Letter to be approved at Full Council on the  9th March.  ACTION: Clerk to add this to the agenda for Full Council for approval 

PL118 To discuss Multi Use Path from Fairford/Lechlade Railway Track
   It was agreed that this item should be passed to the Highways Committee for     consideration.  ACTION: Clerk to add this to the Highways Agenda
