Planning (& Environment) Committee

Planning Meetings take place on the first and third Tuesday of every month starting at 7 p.m.

The Planning Committee reviews all planning and tree applications for Fairford, as well as planning policy for the town.

Highways (and Burials) Committee

The Highways (and Burials) Committee meets on the fourth Tuesday of alternate months i.e. bi-monthly.

Highways also incorporates maintenance, churchyard and the old burial ground. The maintenance element includes all the Council's assets including the Council offices, car park in Mill Lane, bus shelter in the Market Place, land at St Mary's Drive/Crabtree Park and the permissive path around Horcott Lake.

Finance  Committee

Finance Meetings take place on the third Tuesday of every second month starting at 7 p.m.
The Finance Committee is responsible for all income and expenditure on behalf of the Council, and for setting budgets, allocating grants etc.

Councillors serving on this committee are Martin Harwood, Trevor Hing, Mark Wardle and Paul Fisher with ex officio members:  Joe Cusack and Jim Frank.

Staffing Sub-Committee

At present, the Council employ the Town Clerk, the Assistant Town Clerk, and a casual handyman and Churchyard maintenance worker.

Facilities & (Social and Community) Committee

Facilities Meetings take place on the first Tuesday of every month.

The Facilities Committee is responsible for all Council facilities in the town, such as the website, CCTV, Market Place enhancements, HealthCheck Project, Skate Ramp and Fairford Town leaflet. Councillors serving on this committee include Suzanne Jones, Martin Harwood, Caroline Mumford & Jackie Hinton with ex-officio members: Joe Cusack and Rob Winney.

Premises Sub-Committee

The Premises sub-committee meets as and when required and is responsible for the maintenance and management of the Council office building at 3 London Street. Councilllors serving on this committee include P Fisher, J Cusack & M Wardle.
